She's getting so big. Dance pictures here as well as a picture of her sleeping on the driveway. "Make sure you tell Grandma and Papa that I'm laying here so they don't run over me" she says. The one where she's sleeping with her book was so priceless. We knew we had to capture that and hope for many more nights falling asleep while reading.
Just some Charlotte Rose pics. She's holding herself up and crawling on her hands and knees (much to the shagrin of her father). She also thought it would be fun to grab a pencil from her sister and draw on the wall. Oh boy, we're in for it now.
As many of you know, I started a new job today. I'll be working for a company called UCN. I am in training for most of the week and then more training with the different departments. It should be fun. We'll write more later.

Since Emily has another one of these in just a couple of days, I figured I should get these up fast. Emily's dance competition this year is about 50 seconds. We're moving up! Isn't she so cute?
Oh, don't worry, she'll kill me for this picture. You'll be impressed to know that she was able to fit into this suit from when she was like... 2 years old (or 8 or something like that)
Its been a while since my last post. Emily lost her tooth about 3 weeks ago. There's something disgusting and weird about the fact that we lose teeth and grow them back. Photo courtesy of the fetching Mrs. Knotwell. :)
Jake the Big Red Dog

My parents dog, Jake, died today. He was having some medical problems. He went in for surgery this morning and he had tumors all over his liver. The doctor elected to close him up and not wake him up.
He was a good dog and served our family well... he'll be missed.
Charlotte's first tooth broke the gum line on Wednesday (while dad was traveling no less!). There isn't really anything to take a picture of just yet. But, when that first little snaggle gets higher, we'll get one on here.
Our cabinets are done in a "shakeresque" style with a medium stain. We've separated the kitchen from the dining room purely with color (black to natural/stainless) to give the room a little more dimension. My dad and I painted the light fixture while he was here and we actually moved the light about two feet to where you see it now. We've been looking for a buffet of sorts that will sit under the window that is just out of the picture on the left hand side. It will hold all of Jill's china.
Grandma made this for Emily for Christmas. It is such a wonderfully done quilt and this picture does not do it justice. The quilting on the bedspread itself is one of a kind and done with the utmost care, its truly unbelievable.

My wonderful wife and parents decided that it would be a neat surprise to have my dad come out and visit this past weekend. Of course, it was the first time he had ever seen Charlotte too. We had a great time having him here and we look forward to seeing both Grandma and Grandpa again soon.

Emily is looking forward to the time when more people move into our new neighborhood so that she'll have some friends to play with. For now, she's getting closer to her parents and her sister. She had a great Christmas and she's doing well in Kindergarten. She's also enjoying being in dance class and being a big sister.
Charlotte turned 6 months old on December 13th and she's getting so big so fast. Jill and I really want her to be little again. These are various pictures of her over the last 6 weeks. She loves to eat things (especially paper), she sits up and she is rocking on her hands and knees. We'll have a crawling baby soon. Isn't she a doll?!?
